As of Wednesday, Kings Island has received more than $75,000 in bids to be among the first to ride the park’s new Diamondback roller coaster.
Allan Hague from Yantis, Texas currently holds the top bid – $3,100 for one seat. Hague has also placed bids on five other seats totaling $1,900.
Kings Island has also received an in-kind donation of $50,000 from Bonneville Radio Cincinnati in support of this auction.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the first ride auction will benefit A Kid Again, an organization dedicated to providing fun-filled adventures for children suffering from life threatening illnesses and their families.
Bidding ends in three weeks, April 15 at 8:30am.
