Diamondback most popular ride on opening day

The new Diamondback roller coaster made its long-awaited public debut Saturday, when Kings Island opened for preview weekends for the 2009 season. The $22 million steel coaster was far and away the most popular ride in the park, even for sightseers who just wanted to get a glimpse of the coaster’s awesome structure. Diamondback will continue to thrill Kings Island visitors on weekends beginning April 24 until May 17, and then daily from May 24 through August 30.
